Diwali Now a Public School Holiday in New York

 

Diwali will now be a school holiday in New York starting in 2023.

The New York City Mayor announced plans to include Diwali in Public School Schedule in 2023. Jennifer Rajkumar, 40 first Indian American Woman elected to New York State Assembly introduced a holiday for Diwali on School Calendar.
